about
The song is inspired by Rumi (Jalāl ad-Dīn Mohammad Rūmī), who was a 13th-century Persian poet and Sufi mystic from Iran. Some of the lines are from his poem "Maulana's last letter to Shams", which was translated by the fantastic German scholar: Annemarie Schimmel, and I also added some lyrics to it.
lyrics
Sometimes I wonder, sweetest love, if you
Were a mere dream in along winter night,
A dream of spring-days, and of golden light
Which sheds its rays upon a frozen heart;
Sometimes I wonder, sweetest love, if you
Were a mere dream in along winter night,
A dream of spring-days, and of golden light
A dream of wine that fills the drunken eye.
Finally I'm ready to give my soul
Your my home, my shelter of light and fall
I can hold your hand like the water carries a leaf
tenderly and preciously,
stopping the time, capturing the moment
like the first humans on Earth.
Sometimes I wonder, sweetest love, if you
Were a mere dream in along winter night,
A dream of spring-days, and of golden light
Which sheds its rays upon a frozen heart;
Sometimes I wonder, sweetest love, if you
Were a mere dream in along winter night,
A dream of spring-days, and of golden light
A dream of wine that fills the drunken eye.
